What is The Imposter Club?

The Imposter Club is the podcast for anyone who’s ever felt they were winging it during their creative career (all of us?!).

Host Kimberly Godbolt, a TV Director turned talent company co-founder of Talented People asks successful commissioners, producers & filmmakers to open up about their own moments of imposter syndrome, fear and failure to help us better understand and handle the ups and downs of our own creative career rollercoaster. The first series available now features filmmaker Olly Lambert, ex commissioner and indie boss Fatima Salaria, and Mr Big Brother Phil Edgar Jones talking candidly about their toughest times and the sometimes absurd situations they’ve found themselves in.

We hope you find The Imposter Club an inclusive and welcoming place to belong, as well as glean useful tips for your career in TV.

Kimberly Godbolt

Podcast Creator & Host / MD Talented People

Kimberly travelled the world as a self-shooting Producer/Director for popular factual series & documentaries on Channel 4, BBC, ITV & Channel 5 before turning her creativity and influence to the world of headhunting.

She saw a way of staffing the creative industries in a more human and inclusive way and so set up executive search and freelance talent company Talented People with Rosie Turner in 2017. Together with their wonderfully diverse and experienced team, they've been placing premium talent in behind the scenes roles with integrity and a smile ever since.

Kimberly's usually talking – either on Teams, on her mobile or gesticulating behind a microphone, and if she isn’t, she’s watching copious amounts of catch up to feed her insatiable appetite for great TV.

She's also a massive Hamilton fan (daily-soundtrack-seen-it-four-times-bought-every-book-got-the-piano-score-bores-her-kids-stupid-about-it level obsessed) and is definitely going to book Lin Manuel Miranda on this very podcast sometime in the next decade.
